1st Shift Maintenance Technician

Located in Green Bay, WI, VIRIDIAM – formerly known as Van Lanen Inc, HC Miller has been delivering innovative print products and services for over 130 years. The VIRIDIAM mission is to blend craftsmanship, innovation and unparalleled service to create unique print and graphic solutions. Due to our continued growth, we are looking to add a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to our team. This position is responsible for maintenance, repair and adjustments of printing machines and general factory equipment. This is a new position to our Maintenance Department with a work schedule of 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Friday.

What You Will Do:

The ideal candidate will perform mechanical repairs/maintenance of a variety of printing and converting machinery and set the printing presses in a paper converting operation by preparing and mounting plates, cylinders, inks and other supplies for the job. This position is responsible for Identifying, monitoring, and performing troubleshooting for problems and breakdowns of equipment, being able to read electrical/mechanical drawings, maintaining inventory of spare parts and supplies for machinery, and placing orders with vendors. A few more responsibilities include maintaining a focus on safety, minimizing waste and identifying cost reduction opportunities.

What You Need to Have:

For this position, a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Additional requirements include experience working in manufacturing, having basic math skills, being able to read and understand a tape measure, having the knowledge of machine shop tools, drawings, welding and operating manuals. Electrical experience and knowledge of web handling machinery (paper, printing, coating, film, non-woven, packaging and corrugated) would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
